Caitlin is an extraordinary aesthetic nurse with a keen eye for detail and a passion for personalized patient care. She is dedicated to building authentic relationships with clients, and developing safe and deliberate treatment plans that seamlessly align with their goals and lifestyle.

Caitlin is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) which, according to the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board, is a credential that less than 550 nurses in the country currently hold. Application requires a minimum of 1,000 hours and 2 years experience in a core speciality (plastic surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology), as well as an endorsed application by a board-certified physician in the industry. Certification is not required to perform aesthetic nursing services in NC, but it is an important distinction as it reflects a high level of knowledge, experience, and commitment to the industry.

When Caitlin isn't working, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Danny; spoiling her Cornish Rex cat, Kneesox; going on long walks outside; drinking coffee; and rewatching The Office. Little known fun facts: Before she became a nurse, Caitlin received a BA in music with a concentration in voice, played trumpet and piano, and was the lead singer of a local Bluegrass Band for 5 years! She was also on the Women's Club Lacrosse team at Florida State University for two seasons before transferring to UNC-Chapel Hill to complete her music degree.

BIO

Caitlin graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2012 from the North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her nursing career in the Cardiac ICU at Cone Health (Greensboro, NC) where she spent 4+ years caring for critically-ill patients.

Fast forward to 2017, she decided to pursue her true passion in the world of aesthetics, and accepted a position as an Operating Room Nurse at an award-winning plastic surgery office in the Raleigh-Durham area.

In 2018, she took her first in-depth injectables training course through Allergan Aesthetics, and participated in various private courses throughout the following year. She quickly became one of the lead nurse injectors and comprehensive treatment providers for the practice, offering additional aesthetic services such as skincare consultations, RF microneedling, IPL, and lasers.

In 2022, Caitlin decided to expand her skillset and deepen her clinical knowledge base by transitioning to an established and reputable dermatology office where she began delivering specialized laser treatments for a wide array of dermatological concerns.

During this time, Caitlin also became a freelance trainer for other clinicians in the area who were eager to learn about the fundamentals of neurotoxin and dermal filler injections. Caitlin's approach to educating others has always been rooted in evidence-based practice. Having a solid foundation about the intricacies of facial anatomy, understanding the importance of a thorough consultation, and encouraging others to question the rationale for every clinical decision are some of her guiding principles.

While Caitlin is very passionate about training others in this industry, she is equally committed to her own personal and professional development by regularly engaging in continuing education opportunities which allow her to stay up-to-date on best-practice guidelines in the industry.

Caitlin’s passion for aesthetics combined with her desire to enhance the lives of others is the reason why Rebel Aesthetics was founded. She wanted the opportunity to construct a business model that was in alignment with her own values while doing what she loves most - helping patients look and feel their best.
