Dermal Fillers
Rebel Aesthetics offers Juvederm brand fillers from Allergan. FDA-approved in 2006, these fillers are made of hyaluronic acid which is injected under the skin to restore lost volume and fill lines and wrinkles.
Filler is also used to enhance the structure, size and shape of areas such as the cheeks, lips and chin.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring chemical in the skin, eyes, connective tissue, and joints. As we age, there is a decrease in production of hyaluronic acid and collagen in the skin.
Once the skin has lost its ability to "snap back", wrinkles begin to form, and volume loss is more noticeable (saggy cheeks, under-eye hollows, thinning lips, etc.)
Filler results are immediate but there is some downtime due to swelling and potential for bruising.
Depending on the type of product used as well as patient-specific variables, results can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years!
